Hi Leaford,
PLEASE forgive how wordy this is, but I just think the issue is very important to ALL of us.
Even though NONE of the V4Life cartomizers have been this way, I can’t help but worry about the use of poly-fill being VERY dangerous to use as a filler. EVEN if it’s constantly saturated in e-liquid, and gives off no taste, or smell.
I just bought some new EMPTY cartomizers from Health Cabin, and all of them have a definite CHEMICAL smell, right out of the package. It’s the filler.
Do you know if V4L (and other companies ) are conducting any research/testing to find safer materials to use ???
Brainstorming ideas, that may work: Lengthen the small bits of wicking rope that surrounds the heating coil – could be made to cover it completely -like a long tube. If make it thinner so that heat would still get to the filler material, to produce vapor.
The NEW material would be ALL-NATURAL, emit zero fumes, be heat proof, burn proof OR protected by the long wicking that covered the heating wire. And must be the right consistency to be able to hold the juice, but not overly so, and must not grow bacteria, mold, etc.
The filler could be a single fiber, or a combination of fibers. They could be shredded, or ground, and then shaped: Natural loofah fibers, hemp, flannel ( if no emitted fumes ), Buckwheat Hull, corn-hull ( ground up corn cob ), corn-husk, wheat fibers, 100% cotton, sea kelp, hemp, natural tea-bag material ( shredded/rolled), other type of natural paper fiber, etc. I have several more ideas in the making.
I’m sure lots of people have the same ideas – Hopefully very soon – THE PERFECT filler will be found, and e-cigs will be that much safer! Thanks for taking the time to read my post. If you have time- I’d love your opinion.
